Priceless story. The mark of a great Realtor is doing whatever to get the job done. Likewise I've done my share of beds, dishes, mopping, etc. Two of my favs include cats. Despite a sign on the door, "don't let the cats out", someone did. Fortunately it was an Open House. My fellow Realtors and I scoured the neighborhood only to find the furry friend under the Deck. Another time following a Sunday Open House I told the Seller, oh by the way I let your Cat in. The Seller said, uh..."I don't have a cat" lol Judy

Thanks to all of you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Michael - that's one wild story, and 5 days I imagine you won't soon forget. Jackie - rottweilers! I guess it could have been worse, like maybe pit bulls. And you do beds, too? Wow! Jim - thanks for your enthusiastic comments.

Great post! I can recall many beds I made, dishes I washed, underwear I picked up (!) and rottweilers that I ran from! Never a dull moment!

Ken,

I'm right there with you! Although my client was a rental, it is the second time I have found them a house in the DC area and this time it was all done long distance while they were in Oregon. After driving cross country with 4 children, 2 dogs, 3 cats and 1 rabbit, they moved in on a Thursday, the rains came, the basement flooded. The owners negated the lease, refunded their deposits, they moved out and I found them a new house - all in 5 days.

And like you said, I can't imagine being in any other business.
